A note from your County Appraiser;

Please look at your valuation notices as soon as possible.  During our “final review” process this year many changes were made.  Numerous items were found that had not been listed at all or listed incorrectly, going back more than a decade.  Every effort was made to correct as much as possible in a short amount of time.

Rather than compare your value last year vs. this year, please consider the 2025 value and if you feel it is fair and equitable. I am more than happy to review all your property details with you, as there are still many items that I may not be aware of, such as the interior condition of a home or type of finish in a building, etc.

The appeal process, at this time of the year, is very simple.  Email or call our office to schedule a time to review your property.  Statutorily, during an appeal, your value cannot go up.

Currently our office is only open on Tuesday’s & Wednesday’s, but I do check the email often.  I apologize for any inconvenience but will make every effort to schedule & review your property at a time that works for you.  Mary, in our office, will be able to get copies of your property record card for you but reviewing the property & its values has to be done by myself. Other offices in the courthouse can’t access your property record card information.

Thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Kim (Smith) Frodin, RMA
